Staff Application

Thank you for your interest in applying to be a coach for Ascend Speech and Debate! In Summer 2024, we will be operating two distinct educational experiences: Ascend California and Ascend Online.

Coaches at Ascend California will be coaching at our in-person camp at CSU Sacramento from July 14 to July 28, 2024. We are currently hiring for the below events and positions at Ascend California:

  • Congressional Debate: Junior Instructors

  • Individual Events: Junior Instructors

  • Extemporaneous Speaking: Curriculum Director and Junior Instructors

  • Public Forum: Curriculum Director and Junior Instructors

Coaches at Ascend Online, which will only offer Congressional Debate this summer, will be coaching virtually during dates to be announced during Summer 2024. We are currently hiring for the below events and positions at Ascend Online:

  • Congressional Debate: Junior Instructors
