Ishaan Singh

Ascend Online - Congressional Debate Junior Instructor

Ishaan Singh is a senior at Seven Lakes High School. He has served as the Extemp captain his junior year and the Congressional Debate captain his senior year. During the last 3 years, Ishaan has notably placed 8th at the TOC, finaled at the Glenbrooks, 4th at UIL State, 5th and 10th at TFA state, finaled UT 3x, and accumulated 18 TOC bids. 

Ishaan focuses heavily on the intuitive side of debates and creating speeches that can be delivered at any point in a round. On the other hand, he finds that speaking off the top of your head almost always sounds better and yields better ideas.

Outside of competing, he loves spending time with his friends, cooking pasta, or listening to music.
