Chaith Mittal

Ascend California - Congressional Debate Junior Instructor

Chaith Mittal is a senior at Archbishop Mitty High School in California, where he has competed for four years. During that time, he has placed 1st at the Glenbrooks Invitational, 3rd at NSDA Nationals, 4th at the Harvard Invitational, and 2nd at the Tournament of Champions (PO).

Chaith views Congressional Debate as a hybrid between speech and debate, and he works with students to develop clear, logically sound arguments delivered in simple, concise ways.

Outside of Congress, he enjoys listening to music, spending time with friends, and occasionally doomscrolling Instagram reels. He’s very excited to work at Ascend California this summer and can’t wait to meet all of you!
